Morgan Nagle | Nashville Wedding Photographer

In this blog post, I talk with Nashville wedding photographer Morgan Nagle about her photography business, Heck Photography.

Tell me a little about yourself and how long you’ve been a Nashville wedding photographer.

I’m a Nashville wedding photographer that loves to travel all over. I am originally from Michigan, but moved to Tennessee for college and fell in love. My husband and I live just north of Nashville in a tiny town with our two dogs, Brutus and Lenny. I have been a wedding photographer for about 4 years and have photographed over 150 weddings.

How would you describe your wedding photography style, both aesthetically and the way you document the day?

My photography style is classic and timeless. I do a combination of candid shots and posed, in order to satisfy both the couple and their family. We all know that grandma wants a specific photo for her mantle.

Who is your ideal client/couple?

My idea couple is honestly, a lot like my husband and I. They typically love sports and love a good game night. They aren’t about going out partying all weekend, but would rather just stay inside and hang out with their close group of friends.

What question do you get asked most often by inquiring couples? What is your answer?

The question I get asked most often by couples is if I can help pose them, because they don’t know what to do. I always explain that my husband works in IT, so if I can make him look natural in front of the camera, I can get anyone to. It is my job to pose them and make them feel comfortable in front of the camera, and I do that by becoming friends with them throughout the process.

What is your biggest tip for couples both during their planning process and after the big day?

My biggest tip is to not sweat the small stuff during wedding planning. Guests won’t know if there is a little detail missing, only you will. After the big day, make sure you have something physical to remember these moments by. You don’t want your photos to live on a computer or your phone. That isn’t where they belong.

Where can people find you and what’s the next step to booking you?

People can find me at! My Instagram is also The next step for booking me is to get on a call! I like to get to know my couples because we will be spending a lot of time together!
