Tell me a little about yourself and Christina Logan Design!
We are a full-service luxury wedding & event planning company that cares about the most important pieces all the way down to the little bits that make an event magic!
What made you want to be a wedding planner?
I love a big production and was also a theatre major, so that’s part of why the build-up is so fun for me! Layering items, vendors, and watching an event day as the pieces unfold along with making a mark on someone’s life, and seeing them truly be at bliss and ease on their wedding day is something I absolutely love. Nothing is more important than soaking it all in, and that’s what makes the wedding day so much more spectacular than most other events!
What sorts of services does Christina Logan Design offer (month-of coordination, full-service planning, or à la carte planning)?
We offer full planning, partial planning for design, and a wedding management (coordination) service. I don’t like constricting things to a time block because then I can’t guarantee my best service to everyone. I want to be available from when you book us.
Will you handle every aspect of the planning or can we do some things on our own? In other words, what parts of the planning will we be responsible for?
Yes, and yes! Ha, that’s a hard question. There are always going to be some things that the client is in charge of. I don’t know everyone’s addresses, I don’t typically talk directly to the bridesmaids to make sure they ordered their dresses, and so on, but depending on what level of service you hire us for, you can be as involved in everything as you’d like! I’ve had one client where I swear I did everything but try on the dress. Others like to approve each step as it goes and beg me for more before it’s time. I work with all personalities to accommodate their needs!
How many meetings will we have, and how will we be involved?
This is dependent on the service selected. See above!
Do you handle professional services, contracts, and payment processing?
We do handle all contracts for full planning and send out payment reminders. Payments go directly from the client to the vendor. However, we do have an option/waiver you can fill out for us to use your credit card and process payments on your behalf.
Will you handle the invitations, from wording and ordering to the addressing and mailing? What about guest list coordination and RSVPs?
If we’re meeting with an invitation designer, we will absolutely help you with design and selection. If we do it only, we typically both look separately and share ones we like. Absolutely we help with wording and triple-checking! Addressing and RSVP management are an extra service that we can certainly provide!
Do you handle rentals? Will you coordinate delivery, arrival, and set up times with the photographer, the florist, the musicians, and the caterer/banquet manager?
Yes, yes, yes, yes, and yes!
How many people on your staff will be at the wedding?
Our staffing is dependent on the actual guest count and how many locations the wedding is at, but there will always be at least 2 of us present.
Can you create a timeline that tells everyone involved in the planning process (other pros, members of the wedding party, to-be-weds, and families) what to do and when to do it? How will you make sure everyone sticks to the schedule?
Yes, we certainly create a schedule for all the vendors! We do a LOT of following up, checking in, and moving people along throughout the day!
How many weddings have you planned?
Maybe 150? I’m not totally sure, but something in that range.
What’s your secret for staying calm under pressure, and how do you deal with day-of disasters?
I don’t know why, but I’m a very good “in the moment” type of person. For example, if someone gets hurt, I’m the type to run to it and figure out the problem and not run away. It’s just innate to know how to assess a situation and find a remedy quickly. We try to be prepared in advance, and that’s why we’re so thorough on the front end, to try and avoid all disasters. Anything that happens that day can be fixed.
Do any of your packages include honeymoon planning? If not, would you provide that service, and what would be the extra cost to include it in our contract?
Nope! I send you in your getaway car with a food package and some extra cake and bid you adieu! But I will happily send you to some travel agents before then!

What’s your biggest tip to a couple planning their big day?
Take a deep breath, and have fun. It’s supposed to be fun! There’s too much else to be serious about after you’re married; this is the exciting part!
